Upcoming Events

Halloween Parade, Hot Dog Feed & sand dig

Begins: 10/31/2018 - 5:30 PM
Ends: 10/31/2018 - 6:30 PM

The Annual Halloween parade, hot dog feed & sand money dig will begin at 5:30pm sharp! The parade will leave from the old car wash building at 301 E. Long & continue west to the City Office. Hot dogs & drinks will be served followed by the sand money dig.

 

Trunk or Treat

Begins: 10/31/2018 - 5:00 PM
Ends: 10/31/2018 - 7:30 PM

Trunk or Treat will be held in the 200 block of S. Lane St. from 5-7:30PM on Halloween evening. Make sure to stop by & visit them.

Daylight Savings Time Ends

Begins: 11/4/2018 - 12:00 AM
Ends: 11/4/2018 - 11:59 PM

Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, November 4th.  Set your clocks back 1 hour!

Office Closing for Veterans Day

Begins: 11/12/2018 - 8:00 am
Ends: 11/12/2018 - 5:00 pm

City of Dighton will be closed in honor of Veterans Day on Monday, November 12th.  Normal office hours will resume the following Tuesday, November 13th.

November Council Meeting

Begins: 11/13/2018 - 5:30 PM
Ends: 11/13/2018

The regular November City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 due to the Veteran's Day holiday.

Pie Making Class

Begins: 11/15/2018 - 6:00 pm
Ends: 11/15/2018

Janice Hemel will be teaming p with the Extension Office to have a pie making class in Lane County. The class will be held November 15, 2018 @ 6:00 pm at the Lane Co. 4-H Building. The cost of the class wil be $10. Items that you need to bring if you have are a mixing bowl, spoon, & a pastry blender. If you prefer to bake in a glass dish, please bring one. You will be provided foil pans & the ingredients to make an apple pie. We need 5 people to RSVP to hold the class with a limit of 10. Please RSVP by November 13, 2018 to (620) 397-2806.

2018 Old Fashion Downtown Christmas

Enjoy Special Holdiay Vendors & the Polar Express Train, family Christmas pictures event, tree decorating contest, kids Christmas party, downtown business open houses, t-shirt making, soup supper, kids games, hay rack rides, carolers, Christmas light parade, meet & greet the Grinch, Frosty, peguins & Santa, take the tour of lights around town.
